i'm a doctoral student at cornell's science and technology studies department (if you have no idea what s&ts is click here) and i'm affiliated with cornell's information science program (if you don't know what infosci is click here).

as part of Cemcom my research project aims to understand free software and open source in a cultural context using insights from social constructivism and actor network theory, as part of an attempt to develop a new theory of innovation in IT. Particularly I'm interested in the ways in which design can use open source methodologies to build more parcipatory IT systems. I also have a special interest in online economies of reputation.

on my website you can find some of my writing, thoughts, and links to useful resources and to other people's sites.
