My research typically investigates social networks and interpersonal communication. I graduated from Cornell Information Science in 2006. My work in CEmCom examined the intersection between deception, as a pervasive cultural phenomenon, and technology. In particular, I developed automated deception detection techniques, the holy grail of deception research. This project was a joint venture with the Computer-Mediated Communication lab, as part of the Decepticon Research Group. My other Cemcom research aimed to create opportunities for interesting and reflective experiences in public spaces, as part of the MUSE project in the Human-Computer Interaction lab.
